Forever Loved!

Have you ever been loved? Do you long to be deeply, truly loved? I know that I do! There is a longing for love inside of every person. God created each of us in his image, and he is Love! He designed us to love and to be loved.

God’s love for you is indescribable! Many songs have been written about the love of God, and still it can not be explained! One song written by Charles A Miles says:

Wide wide as the ocean
High as the heaven above
Deep deep as the deepest sea
Is my Savior’s love
I though so unworthy
Still am a child of His care
For His word teaches me
That His love reaches me everywhere

Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) Sacrificial love is the greatest love that we can give to another person. You and I would perhaps die for our family, a close friend, or our country, as many have done before us.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:7-8

But Jesus loves us so much that he gave his life for us while we were still sinners – while we were still enemies of God, he gave his life to save us! Would you give your life to save an enemy? Probably not. God’s love is beyond understanding, and it is everlasting!

You are loved with an everlasting love, and underneath are the everlasting arms. – Elizabeth Elliot

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8) Jesus never changes, and neither does his love for you! He has always loved you. He loved you in your past, no matter how good or bad it was. He loves you today, and he will love you tomorrow!

The empty place in your heart that constantly longs for love and fulfillment can only be filled by Jesus. All the words in the world could never properly describe the love that Jesus has for you!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Jesus loves you so much that he gave his life for YOU! He died so that you can live. And not only did he die so that you could live forever with him, but he died to give you freedom from sin and the pain that comes with it.

Have you ever been truly, unconditionally loved? Sometimes people never receive love from family or friends, and that is tragic. Do you know that Jesus loves you? Yes, Jesus loves you! And his love for you will never end.

If you have never known the love of God, seek him! He waits with open arms to receive you.
